Cervical caps

The well known cervical caps like the Prentif and Vimule caps, are made of latex. Recently cervical caps made of silicone rubber became available. The FemCap is a real breakthrough in contraceptive choice.

Cervical caps are fitted over the cervix and should be used together with a spermicidal gel.

Before using a cervical cap a women should get the advice of a physician, a gynaecologist, or a women health centre. This is important to decide on the right size and type of the cervical cap.
